Benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas The annual Addison Rotary Open golf tournament was held on Monday September 14th, 2009, at Glen Eagles Country Club in Plano, TX. Thanks to all the many Rotarians, volunteers, and sponsors who supported the tournament this year. It was a resounding succeess, even with a bit of rain on the course. With your support, we have given the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas a mighty boost in their efforts to provide a home away from home for needy families. Many Addison Rotarians have served supper at Ronald McDonald House. If you've never done it before, you should consider helping out. It is fun, and you get to serve an appreciated home cooked meal to some people being helped by RMH in their time of need. We met people who had severely premature births, children with brain tumors who will live their lives blind if they survive 70 weeks of chemotherapy and people who have had their lives put on hold or just turned upside down as they struggle with medical problems that we pray none of us have to endure. We are proud to organize the Addison Rotary Open in support of the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas. It is a wonderful and worthy charity benefiting Texans who really need our help. |
Several Addison Rotarians have gone to support the Guerrero Eye Clinic in the state of Chihuaha, Mexico. The work done at this clinic is exceptional, with eye and dental care provided for free to the truly needed in rural Mexico. In fact, this clinic provides care to 60% of the indigent in the state of Chihuahua. Addison Rotarian Robert Yudkin is pictured here with clinic manager Luis. Click here for more info. |
