Carter BloodCare

We are meeting this week at Carter BloodCare in Addison at 7:30. The address is 3955 Beltline Road. The donor center is on the north side of Beltline in a strip shopping center between Midway and Marsh. The closest cross street is Surveyor.

If you want to donate blood the staff will start taking donations at 7am. You are not obligated to donate. Please attend even if you cannot or don't want to donate. There will be a short program by Carter BloodCare staff. We will have a catered breakfast. Feel free to bring friends or family to check it out.

January is always a time of need for blood donations of all types. Supplies tend to get low over the holidays because of travel and time off work. If you haven't tried it before, now would be a great time. If you want to discuss your eligibility before Friday with Carter BloodCare staff, feel free to call the Donor Notification department at 817-412-5603.

Membership

I am sad to tell you that our membership has been reduced by two.

Bob Chadwick - for non-payment of dues
Wendy Seale - She's retired and now living in her Cedar Creek Lake house so the commute to our meeting is too inconvenient. She wrote a lovely note: “I will always be happy to help you guys in any way that I can… You are absolutely the best club!” “It was also my sincere pleasure to get to know each and every Rotarian in your very dynamic club. If I could, I would adopt you all and move you all to the lake with me.” Awww…

This makes our need for members even more urgent. Who do you know who should join our club? Invite them! I just invited a pickleball friend. She will attend our next meeting.

The holiday party was amazing – beautiful home, delicious food, great games, and best of all the camaraderie of our terrific club members. Thank you Fritzie and Barry for hosting us, and for all the hard work you did to create a fantastic party!

Club Finder Finds Us Again!

We recently implemented the new version of ClubRunner. Perhaps because of that, or perhaps because our address changed, Rotary's Club Finder tool didn't list us. That issue has been resolved. The Club Finder tool is how I found our club. It's an important tool to help people find us.
